Council on Accreditation:
In 2006, the staff at SOS BC persevered to complete our accreditation process. Proactively working to ensure best practices and quality service delivery, our arduous pursuit to become accredited with COA was rewarded in April of 2007.
Accreditation is a strategy for an organization to be accountable, as well as to measure and validate its achievement. It involves a very detailed review and analysis of all our operations and service delivery, measured against national standards of “best practice”. Strengths are identified as well as areas where SOS BC can improve. Certification takes place annually and ensures that our policy standards continue to be implemented.
